Morocco ranked among the safest countries
Morocco is ranked among the safest destinations for British tourists, according to a map published by the British newspaper The Independent following the terrorist attacks in Turkey.
In this map, the Moroccan Kingdom is in the green zone, ie a safe destination for British travelers. Just as Europe or the United States.
In 2015, despite a difficult context, nearly 660,000 British tourists visited Morocco against 490,000 in 2012, an increase of 34%. To accompany this upward trend, the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has set up a communication campaign to ensure a regular presence in the UK market.
In support of the campaign, the Agency has also made public relations in Morocco by inviting the most prestigious press, audiovisual and web that have produced reports in the Kingdom. For example, the Top Gear program broadcast on BBC filmed its last show in Morocco as featured by Matt White of the series Friends. Top Gear is followed by over 350 million viewers and broadcast in 212 countries worldwide. Or “Great Continental Railway Journeys”, the documentary series of the BBC 2, presented by the famous British reporter Michael Portillo, dedicated to the discovery of destinations by train whose viewership gets around 3 million viewers in the UK and 5 million worldwide.
Morocco offers everything the most demanding British tourist could want: the diversity of landscapes, a unique human environment, a rich artistic heritage and historical sites of inestimable value and a life experience that marks every foreign visitor . All of which can be reached within a couple hours. A weekend trip could be a great start.
